Jeez, I just finished puzzling out the process of adding a router to the side table of my Powermatic 2000 and [i]now[/i] you publish a set of plans! Oh well, better late than never, I guess.

boardsailor writes: I have been using a Bosch portable saw/stand in my remodeling biz for a few years now. One day when I pulled out the right side extension of the table I saw the potential to build an insert to accommodate a router. I made a "temporary" plywood insert that has worked fairly well(for 3yrs) but getting a good fence setup such as the one in this plan is a needed upgrade. The special clamps to span the saw's fence are exactly what I needed rather than having to clamp my shop-made fence onto the edges of the tabletop. I spotted clamps like them recently while searching tool catalogs/websites for a specialty router bit. Prior to this I'd made a similar setup for my Delta contractor's saw with a right side extension table with a shop-made router insert. Again the dust collecting/easily adjustable fence was the hang-up. Good to see this setup. I hope some other entrepreneurs will share their innovations like this, especially the very portable ones. They're great for remodelers and small home shops too.

UkuleleCrazy writes: This sounds like a great idea for those of us with limited workspace. Of course what I would really love to see is how to make a table-saw/router combo with a dust collection system as well. Be nice if it also had storage for the various bits too.
