Hemlock Box

I wanted to make a special gift for a friend of mine so I took one of my favorite woods, hemlock, and I also used pine to come up with this box. The top also has a pewter flower on it and the sides have simple inlays in the hemlock on the corners. The picture doesn't quite show the reflection hemlock gives off when the light hits it at different angles. The way the light hits the wood is what I like best about the wood.
