Veneered modern coffee table

This table is mine, and I love it! I found a special piece of maple that I thought would slice into some nice veneer add a dash of walnut and poof a table will appear. The design was mine I did look at my table to get some size and design ideas.
The top has been built with custom sawn veneer from a single piece of wood sliced to about 3/32'', much thicker than typical commercial veneer. It is then book matched and laminated to a Baltic Birch substrate allowing for ZERO wood movement then wrapped with solid hard wood.
Designed with a shelf to keep the top free of remotes, magazines and game controllers. The solid wood drawers are also book matched with the top to bring it all together.
Finished with 3 part hand rubbed oil finish added just poly for protection on the top about 6 coats after the oil finish.
Features Include:
Custom cut veneer
Curly Big Leaf Maple
Plywood substrate = no wood movement to last for years and years
Removable top
Ebony drawer pulls mounted with stainless steel
Pinned drawer fronts
Dimensions - Length 49'' - Width 30'' - Height 17''
Design or Plan used: My own design - Canadian Woodworks
