Our first kid is due in a month so my wife requested a cradle. This is my first serious piece of furniture and I am very happy with how it came out.
The ends of the cradle contain a raised panel with tongue and groove joinery. I would have liked less conspicuous fasteners but those shown are the extent of the selection here in Anchorage, AK. The sides of the cradle with all the small pieces made for a very interesting glue up.
Finish is a water based wash coat, three coats of fake tung oil, and a coat of paste wax.
Now onto the crib...
