My wife saw a similar cabinet in one of my woodworking mags. They used plywood. I built the piece from solid Cuban mahagony. Did the split turnings myself. Drawers are half blind dovetails.

This piece was inspired from a magazine article. I built the piece from solid West Indies mahagony. The spilt turnings are my own design and made in my shop. The finish is a water based poly finish semi gloss applied with an Apollo1040VR HVLP spray unit.
