This is a gift for my wife and my first attempt at the box joint.  The mulberry was a dark colored board but surprisingly light underneath its skin.  Its nice to work with.  Cuts clean and sands easy.  The finish is Salad Bowl finish becuase its all I had at the time.

He tells me of a certain quantity of Mulberry wood in his posession so that made an interesting trade for my labor. No promises were made and none asked. If he is a man of his word, I well make him a box and one for myself as well. Thanks for showing me what it could look like.

I just started using both Mulberry and Hedge (Osage Orange)this year and they both have that beautiful copper color on the wurface exposed to the air for a while. Both the yellow and the copper color are darker in the Hedge. Wish I'd started with them years ago. Both beautiful woods.
