I finally finished my wife's box.  It is made out of maple and bubinga, I really enjoyed working with bubinga (it smells so good when it's freshly cut!). She wanted a less glossy finish than I usually would put on a box like this, but it matches the rest of her jewelry boxes and furniture in our bedroom, so she likes it (and that's all that matters).  Overall, I think it turned out pretty nice, though I definitely need to work on the precision of my miters (but who doesn't?).  Let me know what you think!  Thanks for looking.

Thanks. I had that piece of Bubinga left over from another project so it seemed like the perfect use for it. Thanks for your feedback!

Very nice. I have always like using contrasting wood species to add to a design without stain. Great look.
