If you live in the New England area, check out the open house at the Furniture Institute of Massachusetts, the woodworking school run by frequent Fine Woodworking contributor Phil Lowe.
It happens this Saturday, June 12, and runs from 4 to 8 p.m. You can see student work and check out the upcoming class offerings, from hand-tool workshops to chair making to upholstery. You may even see a photo or two of Phil's sailboat.
