Tall Tea Table
comments (0) June 6th, 2010 in Reader's Gallery
Although we drink very little tea in our house-the table is in the style of a period tea table-although a tad taller in proportion than what was common-hence it's title-Tall Tea Table. The table is made from Black Walnut, Walnut Veneer, Maple inlay and Sapele for the top edge banding. The finish for the tri-pod base and pedestal was Minwax-Red Mahogany Stain with a Gloss alkyd varnish. The top was stained with the Red Mahogany-Then wipe clean quickly in the top surface only-I left the stain set in Sapele edgbanding. The top then received a semigloss Tung Oil finish.
