This is my interpretation of the Thos Moser Lolling Chair, which I built in my garage. I used the plans you can find on the web in Sketchup. These plans do not give you everything you need but the come very close. I spent a lot of time looking at these chairs online from the Thos Moser catalog to try to determine the fine details. Finally I also incorporated detains from Fine Woodworking bow arm Morris chair for the back slats and the recline adjustment.

The chair is made out of recycled quarter-saw heart pine flooring, which I salvage from a 100 year old house that was being torn down. All of the curved components were bent laminated Finally I had the leather upholstery professionally made for me.

I probably spent as much time building the jig and fixtures to form the parts as I did actually doing the woodwork. Next job is the ottoman.

Very creative additions, and good use of reclaimed lumber. Enjoy.
