this was my first attempt of making a box, perfect gift for mothers day because Moms never look at the flaws which there are a few like in the maple burl veneer I used contact cement which Im thinking I shouldnt have because when it dried it found the week point in the veneer as you can see but I look at it as another lesson learned and my Mom she loves it and thats all that matters. Not too bad for some cherry cabinet doors from a house I built 10 years ago and a piece of veneer from a varity pack.

KRASSEL KRASSEL writes: Nice box, dimensions seem very good. Don't worry about that small crack, wood moves, sometimes no matter what ya do. As a famous wood worker said, "there are no mistakes there are only design elements". Keep making the boxes, you seem to have a talent for it. Good job. Thanks for sharing.
