This picture showes how I staind and finished it.  I screwed on a pipe felange on each end and used an 8 inch pipe.  You then can place it on saw horses and rotate it around to gain best possible access to areas.

I started this project back in January.  My wife wanted a big bookcase.  The middle section measures 48 inches wide and 7 1/2 feet tall and each side section is 28 inches wide and 7 feet tall.  It is made from poplar and 3/4 poplar veneer.  I stained it with a deep rich red mahogany gel stain, and finished it with 4 coats of clear shellac.
