Close-up of the intersecting diamond panel. Assembled as one piece before installing. Matched sticks make up each T&G V . Pocket screws helped in this crazy glue up.
Corner close-up. i duplicated the casings and madonna titties from the homes originals. Small crown is a smallest of 3 sizes i did for the the whole project. the top piece is removable for future generations to paint the walls via 3 brushed brass bolts and a snug fit.
Close-up of continuos scrollwork that is part of the transition from header to coves to scoll to beadboard of the mansard roof.
One peice of wood, over 140 of these 1 pyrimids, a few saw guides, stready sharp chisels and guided sanding blocks. It didnt get easier with the next.

Header of the rear desk recessed into the rafters of the mansard. Built in to a full floor matching home office in Brookline Ma. Cherry, hand-rubbed oil and wax finish. Design contends with a tri-lvl at the top of opening.
