Macassar Ebony with Holly trim. This piece is all veneered, over Poplar and MDF. The finish is full-filled polyester, with conversion varnish. This was a really fun piece to build. Lot's of hand tool work. I took off those ugly pulls and turned some Ebony and Holly ones, it looks so much better now. This piece took 3rd place in the Design in Wood show in San Diego last year in the traditional furniture class.
