Media Cabinet

I needed a cabinet to house my new 55 inch LCD TV and media gear. I also needed plenty of storage for CDs and movies. My former entertainment center just wasn't going to cut it. I designed this cabinet to hold everything I have with a neat and tidy appearance. I added the undermount drawers to hold DVD's with a center drawer for remote controls. We have been pretty good about storing the remoted here as opposed to cramming them in the couch cushions!
The primary materials are Sapele, Khaya plywood and Mahogany Crotch veneer. This was my first attempt at leaded glass and I seemed to do OK. The leaded glass article in FW was quite timely.

1.) The hardwood and plywood for this project is from a company called Thruway Hardwood. I have also bought some amazing domestic and exotic hardwood from a company in Olean, NY called West Penn hardwoods Inc. Their lumber quality is outstanding and they are great to deal with. They have a great website and they ship lumber to customers.
2.) The veneer I use is from a company called Certainly Wood in East Aurora, NY. They have an incredible website and their inventory is unbelievable. I am lucky to live about 20 minutes from them so I get to peruse their warehouse in person. I can't say enough good things about the crew there and their knowledge and quality materials.
