Bandsaw sledge

I use my bandsaw a lot, but i needed an alternative to the flimsy miter gauge that came with the saw. So, i made this sledge, and have been using it for a while. Works great.

The second jig is a simple stop i use when handplaning. One side is fits in a dog-hole, and the other side uses the tool-tray to hold on to. Easy and quick

What I did for my resaw jig (admittedly a different application than this sledge) is first to determine the drift of the sawblade, mark that direction on the tabletop, and then align the jig to the mark. This is very conveniently done using the Magswitch (q.v. at Woodcraft; I suppose there are other suppliers). You need two of them to hold the jig in its orientation, and I use the 30mm size. It's kinda pricey at $36, but boy does it hold tight, yet release easily. The jig's baseplate necessarily is cut for a tight fit to the Magswitch and from plywood of the right thickness.
