Console cabinet in khaya, currently used for media. Top and bottom frames were constructed identical except for the width of the facia. Frame and panels were attached between the paneled frames to form ends and partitions. I used pinned sliding dovetails both in the subframe and cladding as well as the attachment of the ends and partitions to the top and bottom frames. The stock finished out at 15/16" throughout. Doors and frames & panels are pinned stub mortice and tenons. Frame and panel back rabbeted to fit ends and partitions. wire grommets. Glass muntins in doors are a T shape with saddle joints and end lap into a rabbet in the frame and are pinned, wood glass stops. Glass is lightly textured. White Carrera marble top with ogee edge. Shop mixed oil stain, low sheen lacquer.
