This box is 7 by 7 by 4 high and is made of Canarywood. The ribbons and bows are made of Wenge, Purpleheart and Satinwood. The dots are all approx. 3/16 in thick and are made of purpleheart, box elder, satinwood, palea, padauk and chakte coc. The piece took approx 18 to 20 hours to execute. Corners are keyed. Ribbons are set in mortises (dados). Grain of the woods for the ribbons runs alternate for strength. Finish is natural of course.
