Jason's Rocking Horse

This was my first project in hardwood. I was lucky to find the very good plans of Mr. Linck. The project came together relatively easily and quickly. I don't have many tools and most of my skills are in general carpentry and trim work, but I decided to see what I could do in hardwood. The horse is made from about 9bd feet of walnut. Two different boards were used. The smallest of the two yielded the great figure on the belly of the horse as well as the "feet" which in contrast on the same board were very consistent on color and grain. Walnut dowel was the construction method for all joints.
