My first "official" project. I needed a new computer table to fit my peripheral equipment. It's 36 x 56 x 29.5 high. I made the top from Canarywood and it's wrapped in 1/4 inch Purpleheart and 3/4 inch Padouk. The legs are 2" Padouk with tapers. I finished the legs with sanding sealer and water based gloss Poly. The top is simply sanded with the same water based poly so it didn't become as dark as the legs. I used a lot of the info from articles recently published in F.W. such as planing tops - I actually purchased and learned to plane just for this project.  I love how the 3 woods really compliment each other on the top. I think it would pass muster in the contrasting woods article in the last issue. It turned out pretty decent, my next will be much better.
