This is the completed bookcase I started building a while back. I built the bottom cabinet first and today completed the top section. My wife, who I built this for, wanted the bottom section completely enclosed with doors and the top section of shelves to have slats to match the desk I built for here previously.
It is all solid quarter sawn white oak with a cherry mission gel stain and hand rubbed poly finish that was buffed out and waxed.
I just received a "*suggestion*" about a matching TV cabinet for the same room.
