I own a raised panel cabinet door company, and sometimes we get to do an order out of exotics. Of course I never throw those scraps away. Just for fun I created this mallet using Bubinga and Hard Maple. The process was pretty intense, as I had to make router table jigs to safely make the spiral pieces for the inlay on the end. it was well worth the effort though. Production doors can get really old, so this kind of project reminds me why I love woodworking.---Enjoy!
