Running out of tools to put in it...


Made with Asian Lauan and Baltic Birch Plywood. It was my first and last experience with the Lauan; the veneer was only .015" thick, about the same as three thicknesses of tissue. Just one light pass with a handplane while trimming the case finger joints and I was through to the very loudly contrasting 2nd ply.

I will say one thing, I also have used Luan plywood once but never will again, either. I cringe whenever I see it recommended.
Again, great cabinet.

powerdiamond powerdiamond writes: Nice piece! Do you have a picture of it closed? Just finished a cabinet for my planes. Doesn't quite come up to your standards. I used felt for lining the bottoms. Was able to pick some up that had adhesive backing at a craft store.
