The top is a panel in mitered frame.
The columns and decorative trim were all cut on a legacy ornamental mill.
The legs are hand carved and set at a 15 degree angle. All four legs are anchored with a double mortise.

This mahogany hall table was designed to be as eyecatching as I could manage. The columns are reeded as is all of the decorative trim. The legs are hand carved. The finish is a water based dye, a shellac seal cut (1 lb cut) and several coats of water based poly. The top was rubbed out with abralon pads to 2000 grit.
