I meant to built a horizontal router table for a long time to mill sliding dovetail tail boards, raised panels with vertical router bits, tenons, and profiles on edges of wide boards, all that flat and stable on the router table. Inspired by Conover's design published in FW #147, I devised my own with significant changes and features. The router bit height adjustment is deadly simple and very effective. I made it to be stored vertically to save space in my small basement workshop. Great addition to my hobbyist shop.
