This jewellery box was made for my wife, Sue. The box itself is figured purpleheart, with solid European sycamore used for the internal lining, the trays, the feet and the detail on the front. Sycamore veneered ply was used for the bases of the box and the trays as well as the internal lining of the lid. The detail on the internal lining of the lid was made with opal triplets set in pieces of brass tubing.
