This box was made with the stacked-ring technique and compound cuts, using the scroll saw.  The box is made of walnut with purpleheart and maple ribbons and bows.

scrollergirl scrollergirl writes: Alan, you can access a video of my cutting a stacked ring bowl, which is the basic technique used for the box, at www.scrollsawer.com. Follow the links to videos and you should be able to find me. For more information, check out my blog, www.scrollsawbowls.blogspot.com, which also gives an email I use for bowl inquiries, primarily coming from people using my new book, Wooden Bowls from the Scroll Saw. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. Thanks.

I am very impressed with this project. I viewed your short video and want to give it a whirl. I have been making boxes for a couple of years now, and am always tinkering with design and trying different woods and looks. Thank you.
