This was my second project that I did.  This design is by Andrew Muggleton but I could not afford the real thing so I built my own. You could find his work on www.artfulhome.com but it is not up there anymore but I still want to give him credit.  It is a bent plywood lamination which was veneered with Wenge and then I put several coats of black tinted shellac and then sprayed it with a satin varnish (Wenge and Rosewood did not look good together so that is reason for tinting black).  The frame that sits on top of the curved section is Rosewood (Cocobolo).  Then the glass just sits on top of the four aluminum posts.

The arch shape on my tables actually incorporate two different curves which is why your curve goes nearly to the glass and mine is shallow above the shelf.

Look good though.

The choice of black as the central color for this piece is stunning and very much in keeping with its modern design and setting. Thanks for sharing your work.
