elmo chair

My wife decided I should make a Christmas present for a friend's granddaughter, who happens to be an Elmo fanatic. So off to the workshop I went, and emerged with this rocking chair. It is constructed of solid pine...even the eyes, nose and mouth. The paint is enamel, except on the facial features, which is craft paint covered with 2 coats of poly, and held in place with 1/4" dowels and glue. I've been told that she is "tickled pink" with her Elmo chair.
