Malaysian rambutan and Hawaiian koa wood jewelry box with "Louis Cube" marquetry top

This was a jewelry box that I designed and built for my wife on our 36th anniversary. The Louis Cube marquetry was a fun addition, and the combination of exotic woods -- rambutan and koa -- made for an unique look.  The miter splines were maple to contrast with the darker rambutan wood.
