Maple & Ash Dressers , Six Drawers + 1 Secret Drawer
comments (4) November 29th, 2009 in Reader's Gallery
Long before my wife and I met she bought a beautiful bed and nightstands but couldn’t afford the dressers to complete the set. Years later we could afford solid wood dressers but we couldn’t find anything that was large enough and matched the existing pieces. I gave the first dresser to my wife from Christmas last year and I completed the second one for myself this summer.
I designed the dressers to match the rest of the set but I included a seventh secret drawer and a compartment for watches, jewelry and what not using Purple Heart and scrap from the outside panels. Drawers are Maple with Ash sides and backs, the drawers slide on Teak runners with Purple Heart stops. 3-D sketch up of the web frame included, drawers and runners removed for clarity. Overall dresser dimensions: 57” (H) x 47” (W) x 26(D)”
Can you find the secret drawer?
