This cabinet is made with curly maple veneer panels and solid walnut with a lacquer finish.

This design was inspired by a water flowing over a rocky ledge. The curly maple represents the movement of the water and the dark walnut edging represents the ground.

One of the things I like to do is to take inspiration from natural elements and apply them to my designs to make functional, modern furniture.

I am not too sure how well I portrayed the message of water flowing through this piece, but I think as time goes on I will get better at conveying my ideas in my projects. (But for now I'll just explain what I was thinking when I made this.)

Thanks for looking.
