Walnut & Spalted Sycamore Box

Holiday Gift Box - Walnut, Spalted Sycamore, Yew
The dovetailed box body was made from walnut and the lid was from an amazing piece of quartered spalted sycamore, I believe the coloring of this lid works well with the walnut. I have a stack of Yew veneer which is simply beautiful and thought it would look great for the bottom of this box. The interior is lined with black suede the pull is a small piece of maple mortised into the exterior. I was very pleased with the end result of this project and I hope the person receiving this as a gift will enjoy it as much as I have.
