This is a jewelry chest I made during some downtime I had while in cabinetry school. It is figured maple (both solid and veneer) and walnut (both solid and veneer). It is the first piece of furniture that I made and also the first that I designed.

mdwatkins mdwatkins writes: Nice piece. Wood selections are very complimentary of each other allowing the piece to speak for itself rather than being overwhelmed with too much grain structure and coloring. Nicely done.
