JBoxMaker JBoxMaker writes: Russ, This is a fantastic piece of work! What a box and I echo someone else's sentiment about the lucky person who is recipient of this box. Being a jewelry box maker myself, I am awed by this piece of work and for all of us jewelry box makers, "You done us proud!"

I am blown away by your interesting presentation and the skill it took to accomplish. Having read other comments I have to agree with them all, especially the surrounding space thought and the question of "How the hell did he do that". Congratulations and cheers. I would love to see some of your other work.

gsmyth gsmyth writes: Does the rotation of the cover cause problems? The box is exceptional in workmanship, but it takes up lots of space around it by prohibiting, for example, dressing table jars and containers in front of the case as well as anything within 18" above.

Also I bet that Mr. Amos would have given much to find a brass colored or black "soft close" mechanism. Maybe the manufacturers will take note of his fine work and offer something other than bright steel and white plastic. Good on ya.

If you're going to cut and paste, make sure to run your copy through a program like notepad on a PC to strip out any bad formatting. Thanks, Gina
