My high school daughter wants a drawing table for christmas and after looking at the premade ones and what they get for them, I decided to make my own. The mahogany legs are 4pcs. mitred together 2-1/4" square and the sides are mortised into the legs and the top is made from maple plywood with mahogany edging. I used the tilting table hardware available from rockler and it works very nice. (installation instructions wasn't very good ) The tilting table has an adjustable lip to raise and lower when the table is tilted to hold pens, paper, etc. It didn't cost a lot to build and I hope it will inspire my daughter to paint me a picasso.

Very nice, great selection of woods. This will last your daughter a life time and then some.
