Big_Doug Big_Doug writes: I like the look of the clipboard. If the thin material is weak and/or warping, it should be possible to fashion "bread-board-ends" on top and bottom, to strengthen the flat board against twists and bends common with the use of a clipboard.

MadMatter MadMatter writes: I made a few like these for Christmas presents once. This look almost identical to one I made and a great way to use up some scraps. (I'm a little cheap.) Kind of a fun project, not complicated, but I learned some gluing and finishing tricks.
I recall clamping so as to keep it all flat was a bit challenging with the thin lumber.
