Funny how the drawing makes my 440 s.f. shop look spacious. That's probably because my actual shop is full of wood scraps, plywood scraps, motorcycle parts, and whatever else needs a temporary storage spot.

A few years ago I did a video tour of my shop. I've made a few improvements since then, but for the most part, the layout is the same. Many of the tools and tool boxes are on wheels, so I can move stuff around as needed.

Norman49 Norman49 writes: Practical looking layout. I have a 24 x28 detached garage with 110/220v wiring and NG overhead heater. Previous owned by a mechanic-welder. I'm in the process of figuring out how to use it as my first dedicated wood working shop.Vehicles stay outside. Yahoo! I try to send in a floor plans after I finish planing our garden.
