Architectural DVD cabinet

The design of this piece features strong rectilinear architectural influences, but they are softened by the use of multiple curved elements. The overall proportions of the cabinet were dictated by the space it was built for. The wave form of the lower case was created using pattern-matched solid stock, rather than veneer, to assure survival in a house with several kids.
Materials: Mahogany, maple, wenge, copper, abalone, aluminum.
Dimensions: 80 x 25 x 16
Design or Plan used: My own design - Michael Singer
