Texas Furniture Makers Show October 22- December 5, 2009
comments (0) October 11th, 2009 in blogs
The 10th Annual Texas Furniture Makers Show opens on Thursday, October 22 at the Kerr Arts & Cultural Center in Kerrville, Texas and runs through December 5, 2009. This juried show features the best furniture makers in Texas and based on the photos from last year, it should be a great show. There could be close to 60 entries featuring furniture pieces from traditional to modern. The judges this year include our own Consulting Editor, Jonathan Binzen, Texas furniture maker, artist and musician, Spider Johnson, and Texas furniture maker, Curtis Whittington.
In addition to the exhibit, the Kerr Arts & Cultural Center will have a continuing education session where Jon Binzen will talk about “The Contemporary Scene in Handmade Furniture”. The presentation and slide show will be on November 7 from 2:30 - 5:30.
So, if you’re in Texas I think a trip to Kerrville would be worth it. I would definitely go if I weren’t so far away.
