New Masters of the Wooden Box by Oscar P. Fitzgerald.

New Masters of the Wooden Box was published along with the exhibition, “Boxes and Their Makers”, at the Messler Gallery at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Maine (and traveling to other cities during 2010-2012). The book includes boxes made by 34 contemporary artists from around the world and provides a look into the artists’ backgrounds and shares info on their inspirations and techniques. The book is filled with great photos of the boxes in the show, as well as pieces from the artists’ portfolios.

I just got my workshop reorganized and I need small projects to persuade me to start up again.

Triumph1 Triumph1 writes: Excellent!! Nothing like a book of the masters to get the winter box designing juices flowing. I met Jay and Janet O'Rourke, who are featured in this book, at a local art fair. They had a copy of the newly released book with them. It was very inspirational meeting two artists who have able to lead a life doing what they love...and it just happens to be what I(or we) love also. Please enter me for a chance to become moved by the masters!
