Hickory key cabinet

This is a key cabinet requested by my wife that I made from a couple of scrap doors left over from when the previous owner of our house had the cabinets installed. I cut them up and glued up some pieces, then designed the cabinet based on the available pieces and the space where she wanted it. I wanted to use dovetail joinery on the case, just because. Its a good thing I didn't know anything about hickory at the time, or I might have tried to convince her it should be made from pine. Let's just say I learned a lot about sharpening chisels during this project. The knob is turned from hickory also.
