Massive in Scale, over 8 feet tall.
Boulle style marquetry, with paduak, mother of pearl, and ebony.
Collectors cabinets from this period feature many architectural elements. There are 4 mini alters, each one different.  There are over 1,000 pieces of ornament used.
Leonardo DaVinci. I sculpted my idol and surrounded him with pictures of 5 major areas of study. DaVinci died at the beginning of the Louis XIV period, so I thought it would be fitting to feature him.
With this piece being so large, I made it so it could be broken down into easier to move parts. Here you can see the three major sections; the table, the body, and the hood.

This is a collectors cabinet popular in Europe during the late 1600's (Louis XIV). Many different techniques such as mold making, Boulle marquetry, and composition ornament were used.
