Desk is walnut with shellac seal coat followed with dark walnut danish oil. String inlay is maple. Although not shown, the top is dove tailed to the sides and drawer fronts are all half blind dove tails.

ecocandle ecocandle writes: I spent a lot of time, before I moved back to Iowa, hanging out at the Renwick Gallery. They always have wonderful exhibits, including a look at Greene and Greene early last year. I went 6 times. Part of my love of and desite to get into woodworking, stem from the times I spent admiring museum pieces. I get a feeling, indescribable, that draws me to the piece and makes me stare in awe.

I feel that way now.
