Maple Side Table

Solid maple side table featuring a breadboard top and double apron. The tiny pieces joining the upper and lower aprons are tenoned to fit into matching mortises in the aprons. Legs are tapered on their inside faces and end with a spade foot. Finish is brushed nitrocellulose lacquer over aniline dye.

Design or Plan used: My own plan heavily inspired from a piece by Hank Gilpin featured in Fine Woodworking magazine no. 171
