The entertainment center was desinged to fit the components we had. Fortunately, my measurements were accurate and the speakers just fit in perfectly.

The unit was made with a combination of solid oak and oak veneer plywood. The top was made with a sheet of plywood framed with solid oak of 2 inches wide. Oak veneer was used on the exposed ends of the plywood so the unit appeared to be made of solid oak throughout.

I did not have a dado bit on my table saw, but did all the grooving with my router and it worked really well!
