Roman Style Sword Handle
comments (0) August 12th, 2009 in Reader's Gallery
My son-in-law asked me to make a handle for an old blued short sword a friend had made for him. I fitted the tang to block of maple burl I had (it was worth it as he invites me over for dinner a lot). I finished the with poly and took the shine off with steel wool to give it a used look matching the rusty blade. The knob on the end is Rosewood.
