Federal Seymour Side Table
comments (0) August 10th, 2009 in Reader's Gallery
This is a Seymour side table based on two original examples, a Work Table in the White House collection and a side table in the Fine Points of Furniture. The table is made from Mahogany, Rosewood, Maple, She Oak and black dyed veneers, and Eastern White Pine. It is colored with dyes and a lime/water mixture, and top coated with shellac on the base and water based lacquer on the top. The Hardware came from Londonderry Brasses. The table measures 30 inches high, 17 ¼” deep and 21 ½” wide.
