The feature ring of my latest vase was patterned after a Navaho war blanket design. To highlight the feature ring I created a "Broken Arrow" element with feathers on the crown of the vase and arrow heads cascading down the bottom of the vessel.

The piece contains 5,930 pieces comprised of western maple, bloodwood, ebony, holly and 10 different brown shades of wood to create the arrow shafts and feathers. The piece is roughly 19" wide by 171/2 " high.
