Forms and Small Turned Box

I turned these small forms and a lidded box from some left over scraps of redwood burl. They were the remains of the other redwood burl projects I posted earlier in the week. 

The forms aren't hollow. I just drilled a hole in the turning blank before I turned it on the lathe. I jammed a dowel in the hole and used a Jacobs chuck to hold the blank on one end while a live tailstock held the other end steady.

P.S. I can't win this contest since I'm an employee. I'm just using it as an opportunity to post some photos of turned projects from the past few years that are sitting around my office...
